Admissions
The journey to success starts with us.
Woodland prepares your student to achieve more than test scores and endeavors to support the growth of the whole child.
We focus on the fundamentals for future success and our small, diverse community recognizes the importance of individualized learning. Beyond rigorous academics, Woodland’s teachers encourage Preschool and Elementary students to develop as self-confident leaders who aspire to achieve, and value moral and socially responsible living.
During your campus visit, you’ll be sure to notice the ways in which our diverse, inclusive community fosters traditional values. Students make eye contact, open doors for each other, and treat each other with courtesy and respect.
Visit
We love to show off our campus —come visit!
Our 12-acre campus houses several classroom buildings. Ivy Manor, the stately, historic home sitting at the heart of campus, will greet you upon your arrival. This is where you’ll find our main office, 10,000-volume Library, main Art room, and classrooms full of upper school students engaged in learning. During your tour, you will visit our full-sized gymnasium, the newly renovated Lower School building, and the Preschool buildings while observing our amazing teachers and thriving students at work.
Individual tours are encouraged throughout the school year. Contact our Director of Admissions, Amy Hood (’82), at hooda@wcdsnj.org or 856-453-8499 to schedule your personalized tour.
Admissions Process
Woodland welcomes students who will not only benefit from our program but also contribute to our community. Our admission process focuses on ensuring a good fit — academically and socially — for your student, your family, and our school.
After your personalized tour, a visiting day will be scheduled in order for your child to spend a day in the life of a Woodland student.
